This Cheshire Cat Designer Collectible was one of the more layered productions to shepherd through development and a personal highlight of the Fairytale Fantasies line. As design manager, I handled all day-to-day communication and project management, serving as the liaison between J. Scott Campbell and master sculptor Steve Schumacher to keep the creative vision and design pipeline in sync from concept to final piece.

The core challenge was translating a non-human character through the lens of Campbell's aesthetic, capturing that mischievous allure in a figure that isn't quite flesh and blood. The tree alone was its own puzzle to dial in. But the detail that really makes this piece is the black light element. It feels completely at home in Wonderland and elevates the whole thing from collectible to experience.
