Fluffy - Collectible Statue

This one was a fun departure from the superhero world. I worked with the design and development team to help capture the cartoonish, larger-than-life energy of comedian Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias, while making sure the details fans would actually recognize came through: his love of VW cars and his two chihuahuas, Risa and Vinnie, riding along for the trip. One of the more interesting engineering problems we solved was building a dedicated blank space into the figure that could be removed, so Gabe could actually sign the piece for fans at shows and conventions. The packaging and photo direction were art directed to channel the laid back, beachside vibe of his hometown, Long Beach, California. My favorite part of the whole project is that Fluffy came up with the figure's title himself during our collaboration, which made the final piece feel like something we built together rather than just for him.
