Jumping the Shark! A Custom Art Show

I curated and art directed this 30-artist exhibition for Sideshow Collectibles, inviting sculptors, painters, and special effects artists from inside the studio and from around the world - including Freehand Profit, pop surrealist artist Mab Graves, and Adam Savage's Tested model makers Norman Chan and Kayte Sabicer - to each transform the same 28-inch resin great white shark "blank" into a one-of-a-kind piece.

I managed the artist roster from outreach through final submission, shaped the show's visual presentation and install, and coordinated the full public exhibition - a two-week run at The Oaks mall in Thousand Oaks, including the venue build-out and an opening night reception that brought artists, press, and fans together to see the collection in person. The show partnered with Shark Allies to support shark conservation, and was covered by the Thousand Oaks Acorn.
